The Outback Car Trek

Just about anybody can enter the Trek.

Participation in the Outback Car Trek is a reward for fundraising $7,500 or more for the Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia.

2027 Participation Costs
Ready to take on the adventure of a lifetime? The 2027 Outback Car Trek offers an unforgettable journey across three states while raising vital funds for the Royal Flying Doctor Service.

Participation Costs for 2027 are:

​

• Entry Fee (per vehicle): $1,050

• Disbursement Fee (per person): $1,150

• Minimum Fundraising Commitment (per vehicle): $7,500

 

The disbursement fee covers a range of event services and inclusions throughout the Trek, helping ensure a professionally organised and enjoyable experience from start to finish.

Beyond the entry and participation costs, each vehicle is required to fundraise a minimum of $7,500 to support the Royal Flying Doctor Service. Every dollar raised helps deliver essential healthcare services to Australians living, working and travelling in rural and remote communities.

You won’t be doing this alone—we’re here to support you every step of the way. We’re more than happy to buddy you up with an experienced Trekker from your area to help make your first Trek as smooth and enjoyable as possible.​
