How Many More Sleeps?
The Outback Car Trek is an annual event (held in June each year) that donates the funds it raises each year to The Royal Flying Doctor Service. Since our inception in 1990 we have raised in excess of $38,000,000 for the Royal Flying Doctor Service. The Trek is well known as the premier Charity Car Rally in rural Australia today.
Our Trek is an event for older 2WD cars, and all of the cars are specially prepared to cope with the fun of outback and remote dirt road driving.
Just about anybody can enter the Outback Car Trek, so don't be shy.

The 2027 Outback Car Trek will journey from the stunning Limestone Coast of South Australia to the beautiful Sunshine Coast of Queensland, travelling through some of Australia's most iconic regional towns and unforgettable outback landscapes.
From Mount Gambier, Murray Bridge and Wentworth to Hay, Cobar, Narrabri, Meandarra and Mundubbera, every day brings new roads, new experiences and new friendships.
Along the way, you'll discover the heart and soul of regional Australia while helping raise vital funds for the Royal Flying Doctor Service.
